Howdy,

The change to the basic command is trivial to change within TeXShop  
Preferences->Engine itself. The only thing that needs a new version  
of TeXShop to be fixed is retaining the .ps file generated by dvips;  
right now that must be unchecked in TeXShop Preferences->Engine. If  
that's what you really need you can easily put together an engine  
file that does that and you'll be CLI free again.
