[OS X TeX] problem with texshop

We just resolved this problem for a similar problem for me.

In TeXShop's prefs. menu under 'Engine' in the TeX + dvips +  
destiller enter:
simpdftex tex --maxpfb
in the 'TeX Program' box and
simpdftex latex  --maxpfb
in the 'LaTeX Program' box

This works for me....
