[OS X TeX] \usepackage{helvet} and the letter space

Morning.

The regular letter space of fonts when using

   \usepackage[scaled=.91]{helvet}

is a little bit narrower than the letter space of the standard  
Helvetica font in Mac OS X when using for instance in MS Word. How  
can I make the letter space in LaTeX just a little bit wider? This  
would make for instance fax copies better readable.
