[OS X TeX] svn and i-Installer

Morning.

Does it make sense to monitor packages of special interest (at me
jurabib and jurarsp) by svn or is it adequate to run i-Installer once
a week?

If I should run svn to stay in the most current version how must I
configure/modify the command to avoid conflicts with i-Installers
versions? jurabib resides at the location where i-Installer puts ist.
jurarsp resides in:

   ~/Library/texmf/tex/latex/contrib/
                ../bibtex/bib/
                       ../bst/

TIA and kind regards. Friedrich
