Howdy,

/usr/local/teTeX/ is >500MB on my system (with docs, etc.) while /usr/ 
local/teTeX/bin is <40MB (PPC only). Loading Universal or dual  
binaries would then make a <10% change in distribution size and HDs  
are certainly up to it without squeaking now.
