[OS X TeX] At sign

[Paul Smyth]

If anyone can tell me how to type an at sign (@) in my text I would  
appreciate it. I've already spent an hour and a half hunting online  
and through various tex manuals with out success. Why is it so  
difficult to find out how to do something so basic?
