I am actually also toying the help/doc tool (mthelp). I manually  
tweaked the source to force it to issue open commands instead of  
various others such as xdvi, firefox etc. The only tool that is still  
obscure is initexmf.

The tools look very promising. What is left is thinking about a GUI  
for all that (whether new, or integrated into TCOBrowser)
