Leaks like that are easy to miss if you're using top or Activity Monitor, since I think the importer server will import files gradually; you don't really notice it unless you import a large batch at once as Bruno did. I typically use Malloc Debug to catch leaks, but I'm not sure if you can use that with an mdimporter?
