Howdy,
As was stated in the original message, use
simpdftex latex --maxpfb --extradvipsopts "-R0"
as the TeXShop->Preferences->Engines->TeX+dvips+distiller->LaTeX
Program. The addition of
--extradvipsopts "-R0"
tells simpdftex to use the -R0 option with dvips.
It is valuable to search the archive for the list at <http://tug.org/
pipermail/macostex-archives/>. Didn't help me this time but it
usually does.
