[OS X TeX] Xindy?

as I needed badly to get xindy working on my Power Book and read  
somewhere in a newsgroup that it is virtually impossible to get xindy  
runnning under Mac OS X, I installed ms dos (!!!! yes, it looks like  
a computer museum...) on a virtual pc and use Xindy this way...
