Adobe Reader used to do this for a while, too. As Google tells, the cure 
was to upgrade to 7.0.5 or later:

For the non-free version, Adobe have a suggestion on their web site

that can only be classified as a cynical joke. Since you paid for it, 
you should complain to them.
