[OS X TeX] Alternative Method of Labeling Figures with Illustrator

The easy way to combine TeX output with Illustrator is to use LaTeXiT
and have it export the image with outlined fonts. Then you get a
figure in which each character can be individually filled, stroked,
etc. You can use any fonts as far as I  know.
