No, TeXShop already offers the split view which shows the same  
document twice.

No no, I want to have a full TeX editor, with section menu etc.
I changed the orientation of TeXShops split view from horizontal to  
vertical with Interface Builder and it seems to work fine. This is  
more or less what I wanted.
I often want to show multiple views of the same document e.g. in  
Preview.app, where I simply copy the PDF file as a workaround. I hope  
the functionality to show multiple views of the same document will  
someday become a standard feature, as it gets even more useful with  
the display becoming bigger and bigger.
