Two reasons *not* to post this kind of message here:

1. If it is important, it will be all over the Mac news sites (as it  
was), and most of us read general Mac news sites as well as this list.

2. Initial reports are often misleading and alarmist, causing  
unnecessary angst and wasted time. For a sane report, see <http://
