[OS X TeX] prosper on a macintosh running TeXShop

I followed the instructions of David Watson and everything went well.
I then processed a simple file that I found on the internet, using  
TeX and Ghostscript,
and the error log went well with one exception: at the end there was

I am left with a dvi file. If the problem is that I do not have  
ps2pdf, shouldn't I have been left with
a ps file? Should I simply get ps2pdf from sourceforge and try again?
