The altpdflatex command no longer exists in the recent versions of  
TeX. Go into TeXShop->Preferences->Engine and change

altpdftex --maxpfb

to

simpdftex tex --maxpfb

and

altpdflatex --maxpfb

to

simpdftex latex --maxpfb

and you should be set to compile using TeX+Ghostscript.
