Howdy,

My, what a stir. If past practice is correct the next TeX i-package,  
with the latest and greatest LaTeX, will probably behave towards the  
LaTeX update the similar to the way it does with the ConTeXt update;  
it will as you if you want to remove it before configuration  
continues. I was just trying to get a confirmation on that point.  
There is nothing to be afraid of in installing the LaTeX updater and  
the new LaTeX seems quite solid.
