[OS X TeX] i-Installer suddenly freezing my system

Do you mean the really latest update (i.e. of today)? This one is  
known to cause freezes, especially on MacTels. See <http:// 
www.macnn.com/articles/06/05/11/troubleshooting.updates/>. The update  
seems to have dealt with rather deep parts of the OS <http:// 
docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303737>. Could one of these  
affect i-Installer? libcurl, Keychain, Finder, LaunchServices come to  
mind. In particular, the Finder is said to now insist that the URL  
scheme is identical to the Internet Location type; given that i- 
Directories and i-Packages are http:// adresses, could this be  
relevant here?

No problem with this update on my PowerBook G4, though.
