No. I do not use the CUPS driver. Or do I?

I've installed the original Xerox Driver. But I'm wondering why in / 
Library/PPDs/Contents/Ressources/de.proj isn't installed a PPD file  
for the Xerox Phaser 3500 DN but for 7300 DN.

And I'm wondering why in ../de.lproj is installed a file Xerox Phaser  
3500.gz.

How should I use simpdftex? There is no man page at my system and no  
manual file.
