[OS X TeX] TeX based on TeX Live release

hmm, now we're getting somewhere. i will re-run the install/configure 
and see what I did. I did use expert mode (perhaps I'm not expert 
enough!) and don't recall leaving out the documentation. still i'll have 
a look now..
