[OS X TeX] A split happens

Use the amsmath package and define
\DeclareMathOperator{\subsetc}{\subset  \!\!\!\!\! \circ\thinspace 
\thinspace}

Moreover, there is the command \Subset for "compactly contained"  
which might serve as an alternative for you.
