[OS X TeX] Different results with TeXLive intel/ppc

You can also download a tarball from the svn repository at <http://

Compiling is as easy as installing Xcode (in case you don't have it),  
then cd'ing in Terminal to the directory where the tarball has been  
unpacked and typing in:

sh build-xetex
sudo sh install-xetex

As a rule, the installations in the "Building from scratch" section  
of the "XeTeX for Linux" page do apply on OS X as well. Ditto for  

Beware though, the compilation will tax a substantial amount of your  
cpu while it's running. And it will run for some time:

- On a MacPro at 2.66 GHz with 2 GB RAM:

$ time sh build-xetex
