[OS X TeX] Sideways

Sideways handles both images and captions fine when converted to pdf
with dvipdfm, it's displaying in xdvi or xdvik that's the
problem. With a lot of high resolution images, using xdvik saves time
as the psf conversion is very time (and cpu) consuming. With xdvi a
single mouse click is enough to refresh and running latex on the file
is very fast - but the captions refuse to rotate with any of the
options (sideways, turn, etc.)
