[OS X TeX] TeXniscope DVI display bug?

Yes, I did that as well before trying your suggestion and I also got  
8.5x11 even then, which made the situation even more puzzling.   
However, your suggestion in fact worked -- I had forgotten to  
*restart* TeXniscope, so I hadn't given it a chance to redraw its  
background.  Stupid of me.  Many thanks for the fix.  But a question  
remains.  Why is this fix necessary?  Why isn't it enough to set the  
paper size in texconfig?
