While it is related to (La)TeX vs. <whatever> it really has nothing to do with TeX on the Mac.
It is off topic.

P.S. As a non-mathematician I have no problem recognizing these messages as not being in the set of messages which are on-topic, so while there might be things I could add, I won't continue this off-topic conversation any further.
