Incidentally, Perelman sent his famous papers on the Poincare conjecture 
to arXiv in LaTeX form, for example: <http://arxiv.org/e-print/math/0211159>

Really, in comparison with doing serious mathematics, learning LaTeX is 
a tiny triviality.
