Just to clarify for the record: The files here are created from .pfb  
fonts in the texmf tree, not from your FFIL/LWFN "classic" fonts.  
They're only used by the xdv2pdf driver, so if you use xdvipdfmx  
instead, they are neither created nor used. (The xetex process itself  
doesn't use them.)
