Hi,

I recently upgraded to i-Installer 2.83 and also updated a clutch of
i-Packages, TeX among them. I was asked to re-install XeTeX after the
TeX install, so I did that as well. When I now compile a document
with xelatex, I get the following error message:

This is XeTeX, Version 3.141592-2.2-0.995 (Web2C 7.5.5)
kpathsea: Running mktexfmt xelatex.fmt
fmtutil: format directory `/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/web2c'
is not writable.
I can't find the format file `xelatex.fmt'!

I am sure I must have stupidly missed out on some step. But I don't
recall encountering this problem in the past. Can someone help me out
on this!? Advance apologies if this issue has come up in the past,
and you are bored to death of answering the same old questions, but I
promise not to ask this very same question again :)

Cheers,
Suresh
