I think there is a good chance that most problems are gone now. The  
only thing I cannot fix is if the TeX configuration ends in an  
endless loop in fmtutil as this is a fmtutil problem. Such an endless  
loop (with all the output received, handled and stored by i- 
Installer) is a resource hog.
