Not MiKTeX, but its package manager, mpm.


I haven't yet installed many MiKTeX packages, so I cannot write how  
up-to-date they are. One package caused particular trouble: TeX4ht.  
It had only support for MS Windows, so that graphics type conversion  
failed for me. Could be there are more such cases than TeX4ht and  
ConTeXt ...
