[OS X TeX] Creating a dvi file

But if you do that (i.e. run pdfLaTeX in DVI mode), you'll be using  
standard LaTeX, to be processed by dvips by default, meaning  
inclusion of JPEG, PNG and PDF file won't be possible.

Or am I mistaken?
