[OS X TeX] Ticks, $\prime$s and real quotes (was: utf8 problem and one TeXShop bug)

You are correct, see Section 2.4.1 and Table 8 from the documentation  
for SIunits for a discussion of the spacing of degree, minute, and  
second.
