[OS X TeX] Anybody having success with mbboard?

And to find out exactly where TeX and friends look for font files,  
you can use kpsewhich, as described in section 3.5 of


Specifically, in Terminal the invocation "kpsewhich --progname=mf -- 
show-path=.mf" should yield a list of the directories looked by  
MetaFont for .mf files, in decreasing order of precedence. On my  
setup I get, after a bit of reformatting for clarity,
