[OS X TeX] TeXShop 2.12 Problem with source document font

Regardless of what I put in the source document font preference,  
sources always open up in Helvetica 12pt.  I tried trashing my  
Texshop.plist.  Same result with the fresh preference file.  I can  
change the font using Source>Font>Show Fonts panel, but such changes  
do no survive closing and reopening the document.
