Howdy,
I don't know anything about DragThing. When you say it is sitting in
the DragThink Dock is that really an alias, is the file existent
somewhere? When you open it in TeXShop where does TeXShop ``think'' it
is (Cmd-Click on the Window Title and you'll see the path). Has the
file been compiled before? Has anything changed since the last
compilation? If the pdf already exists, when you open the tex file in
TeXShop doesn't the pdf open in the preview window too? If the pdf
file doesn't exist it should re-compile.
In general it is a feature that if latexmk detects no change in the
source file or aux file from the last compile it says everything is up
to date. If that isn't true please let me know and I'll let John
Collins know about the problem. He's been very helpful in resolving
problems.
