Not to discourage you from moving up to MacTeX, but
another option would be to switch to the regular GFS
Porson font:

and use XeTeX, as here:

%&program=xelatex
%&encoding=UTF-8 Unicode

\documentclass{minimal}
\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{GFS Porson}
