[OS X TeX] Marvosym.map and marvosym.pfb

Check.

Not here! The .../marvosym/marvosym/marvosym.map contains

umvs MarVoSym <marvosym.pfb

while the .../misc/marvosym.map has the two lines

fmvr8x MarVoSym <marvosym.pfb
fmvri8x MarVoSym ".167 SlantFont" <marvosym.pfb

as its contents. The former is the correct one and the latter is what  
was picked up by updmap-sys. Is it predictable which map is picked up  
when they are at the same level in the heirarchy?

This was my mistake. I just missed finding the pfb file in my first  
search.
