Reduce imagewidth. Every image is surrounded by some (frame) space.  
So an image's width should not be \textwidth (and maybe it should be  
a bit shifted into the right margin that it falls completely into the  
text area) – except you set this extra space to zero.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something  
completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete  
fools.
