[OS X TeX] Where to put file like "longdiv.tex"?

As the author says,
> Use this in any type of TeX
You can put it in /sw/etc/texmf.local/tex/latex/, run `` sudo texhash
'' and both plain TeX and LaTeX will find it.
\input longdiv % for TeX
\input{longdiv} % for LaTeX
