[OS X TeX] Re: Save date-time, not Print date

I copy pasted this on a new file and typeset it. I got an output with 
the word "Test" but nothing else.

Since what Companion2ed says about  \write is vanishingly small (in a 
footnote on p.131), I wasn't able to figure out what is going on/ not 
going on.
