/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/source/calligra makes the  
use of the sudo command necessary, and also a sudo texhash.

~/Library/texmf/fonts/source/calligra is your private place.


Why can't you use ZapfChancery-MediumItalic?
