[OS X TeX] Where to put local additions to texmf?

Howdy,

I believe the pkgs tree is meant for i-packages that can supplement  
the initial release; e.g., CMSuper, MusixTeX, ConTeXt Updater. I  
think the idea is to completely separate local system additions, in  
the local tree, from these packages.
