[OS X TeX] Installing the powerdot and xkeyval packages - Mac newbie

Correction to my own previous post:

Instead of ../[YOURUSERNAME]/Library/texmf/latex, create ../ 
[YOURUSERNAME]/Library/texmf/tex/latex and put the .sty files in  
there. There is an additional "tex" directory in there that I  
neglected to mention.

OK, I am sorry for any confusion this caused.
