[OS X TeX] TeXShop KeyEquivalents and Macros

I have two problems with TeXShop.

-------------------

I tried to modify the key equivalents in
the TeXShop menus after reading
the Help.

I edited the KeyEquivalents.plist,
commented out the example,
saved the file as a UTF-8 text file to be sure ...
and nothing works !!!

Am I missing something or there is a bug ?

-------------------

I have a dream...

The macros of TeXShop are very
usefull but the variables
#SEL# and #INS# are not general enough.

Here is an example.

As I become more and more dyslexic,
I would like to implement a "swapchar"
macro which means to
be able to :

1) select a character to the right or the left
of the cursor ;

2) cut a character to the right or the left
of the cursor ;

3) paste the current selection
(perhaps #SEL# could do it).

------------------

Thank you.
