Hi, suppose you have a few tex files with the corresponding
pdfs open. You can do this by opening at least two .tex
files from the Finder (or Path Finder) simultaneously from
a directory that contains also the pdf files. You do not
select and open also the latter - TeXShop will do this
for you. Then the windows will be opened in the following
order: tex foremost, then a preview window, then a tex
window, then a preview window, and so on.
Now, close the foremost tex window. TeXShop will close also
the pdf file, but now there will be NO active window in the
application: Exposès "all application windows" function will
clearly display this, if you have not too many windows open,
and also no window name is checked in the windows menu.
I am no interface guidelines expert, but I believe that if
an app has at least one window open, then there should be
one active window. To say the least, I find this desirable.
Did not check with older versions of TeXShop, but I did not
notice this before.
best
Roberto
