Howdy,

The initialization file for the xelatexmk engine file already is set  
to use xdvipdfmx so that shouldn't be a problem. Take a look at ~/ 
Library/TeXShop/bin/xelatexmkrc which contains the definitions of the  
programs used for processing files. Please don't change the rc files,  
at least until you read the latexmk documentation by downloading the  
original latexmk distribution.
