[OS X TeX] Using a table in the Subfigure environment!

Hi,
Look the thing is that I have no real knowledge on the subject, but I  
have always found that a well placed

\vspace{-XXmm}

where XX is what ever number it takes to get the desired result.

to fix such problems that I have with such a problem. I'm pretty sure  
that it is not the most correct way to solve the problem. Then again,  
if all else fails and it works it can't be all bad.
