[OS X TeX] Equivalent to TeXify in TeXShop?

sorry, I tried but without success. What I did is:
a. Copied the script in ˜/Library/TeXShop/bin/
b. duplicated one of the engines in /Library/TeXShop/ and changed the
content to
#!/bin/bash
~/Library/TeXShop/bin/texify.sh -p "$1"
texify.sh is the filename of your script and -p is for pdf instead of
dvi.
c. When I used texify like this, I saw in the TeXShop-console that it
actually was used:

texify Version 0.10, Copyright (C) 2006 Huy Hoang Nguyen
This script was inspired by the texify program from the MiKTeX
distribution
Pass: 1
This is pdfTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.40.3 (Web2C 7.5.6)

but it failed to run Bibtex as it should have.....
