We use DO and threads in BibDesk, and have found the lack of  
documentation to be the hardest part of getting things to work  
correctly (although DO is /very/ cool once it's working).  Someone on  
cocoa-dev mentioned that the engineer originally responsible for DO no  
longer understood how it worked, which probably doesn't help either ;).
