[OS X TeX] TeXShop: Strange font switch in Leopard

I was expecting to see a flood of replies about this, so I didn't add
mine. I am editing a book and this is driving me nuts, since this is
not the "usual behavior" i.e. pre-Leopard. I have the source set to
Monaco (18 pt). When I split the windows, typing or pasting into the
top window does not change the font. However, typing or pasting into
the bottom window changes the input to Helvetica (12pt) with no change
in the preference pane and ignoring the setting. Since I always type
and paste into the bottom window, I have been selecting the bottom,
leaving the split screen, and then pasting what I copied from the top
screen. Of course, now when I go back to split screen I have to locate
me previous position again. As I was typing this, I realized that I
can get around this by always typing and pasting into the top screen.
I hadn't realized that the font change only took place on the bottom
screen. I will just change my modus operandi until this gets
straightened out.
If anyone knows the fix for this, please answer this thread. Are
Francesco, Gary and I the only ones with the problem? In any case, I
love Leopard even though a lot of little things are not quite right
yet. No real problems with TeX, although I did wipe out ghostscript
not realizing that re-installing MacTeX doesn't install ghostscript.
GW's i-Installer took care of that without incident. Thanks for your
support.
